Candiani's close relationship with its local environment and community
makes us particularly sensitive to environmental issues.
As a market leader, we believe that we have the responsibility to
demonstrate how a business can thrive respecting the environment
in which it operates.
Our aim in responsible sourcing is to ensure that suppliers work
according to the same principles and values that we do.
This means consumers can trust the way our materials are sourced
before manufacturing begins.
About 40% of the overall cotton we process is sourced from Better Cotton Initiative.
We are a great supporter of BCI, an organization that exists to make global cotton
production better for the people who produce it, for the environment it grows in and
better for the sector's future.

At Candiani we view recycling as a key part of our product lifecycle management
and are committed to the principles of Reduce, Re-use and Recycle.
We believe limiting waste as much as possible is absolutely necessary to safeguard the
environment. Therefore we collect and recycle our own waste of yarns from the spinning,
warping and dyeing departments.
People working at Candiani know they are part of something unique.
Our welfare oriented approach puts the health and the saftey of our people
as a priority.
Workplace safety is not just a question of complying with the law - Italy
has by far some of the most protective labour laws amongst all other
countries where denim is produced - but it is a moral responsibility.
